When you live in Princeville, it's fun to go down to the St Regis!
There's so much to do, see, eat, and hear at the St. Regis...it's one of my favorite places!
I was first introduced to the St. Regis in Princeville by walking down their beach on my morning walks. Every beach in Hawaii is a public beach, and I would take the Princeville walking path down to the St Regis, and then the stairs next to the St. Regis to the beach. Early in the morning, I am usually one of very few people on the beach. I love walking down there in the summer when the water is calm and glassy and looking at the views over the bay.
Later, when a friend of mine with great taste was visiting, she invited me to breakfast at the Makana Terrace. I was filming an episode of HGTV's Hawaii Life that day and she sent me a text message saying that I had to come down and see the view. I was wrapping early that day so I headed down to see her.
When I arrived, I was struck as I always am at the beauty of Kauai. Na Molokama mountain, Hanalei Bay, and their reflection in the water is unparalleled. The experience is that this stunning pristine beauty is all around you. The food is also very good! I recommend the buffet. :)
If you're looking for a place to eat lunch with the best view on Kauai's north shore - you must eat lunch poolside at Princeville's St Regis.
Good food...once again stunning views!
You have palm trees, Bali Hai, and the pool! The food, of course, is great and there is typically great live music.
One of my best memories at the St. Regis in Princeville was the night I went down there to meet up with my friend for pupus (Hawaiian name for snakes or appetizer). As we were talking, I noticed that Donny Osmond and his wife were on the coach next to us! We had been sitting there for a while before I realized who he was. Once I did, I said, "You're Donny Osmond." He agreed that he was indeed, Donny Osmond, and we talked for a few minutes. He was very nice and was there with his wife celebrating their wedding anniversary.
The St Regis in Princeville has stunning views, great food, good music, and is a great place to catch a celebrity or two on vacation!
