It seems like there are a lot of people looking for a "good deal" that they can get in Haena while the road is closed.

The road west of Hanalei being closed as been tough on a lot of property owners.  The country has determined that while the road is closed the legal vacation rentals can not be used.  There are beachfront properties there that rent for $1,000 a night and up that have been stilling empty for almost a year now.

As I turned off the Kuhio Hwy yesterday and drove through the Tunnel of Trees I started to reflect on what a special place the south side of Kauai is.

I was driving through the Tunnel of Tress on my way to an inspection of a oceanfront condo I listed for sale for the Owner and where I also represent the Buyer.  The market on Kauai right now is very hot!  Here's a snapshot of the oceanfront real estate market in the Poipu/Koloa area.

There are currently 15 oceanfront homes and condos for sale in Poipu.

Four of those are single family homes range in price from $1.865M to $6.990M.  They also range in both quality of built and current condition of property.  Two of then have TVRs or a Vacation Rental License.  They have been on the market…
